On Dyes and Dyeing

Every cake of yarn from Twisted has been skeined and dyed by hand using a fairly complicated and time consuming process. Colorways are mixed daily then applied to yarn and blended manually. On top of these factors, all the dyes we order from our supplier are separate lots and can vary considerably. This collection of factors leads to a final product in which each cake is unique with its own personality and small differences. That is one of the special things about choosing to work with hand-dyed yarn. We try to ensure that our product fairly represents the photos on our website and that all cakes are beautiful. Working with this kind of yarn is a special experience not possible with machine dyed yarn.

Shipping information

Nearly everything is dyed to order and we are grateful to our wonderful customers who keep us so busy!
Our current turn around time on orders is approximately four weeks.
Orders typically ship within four weeks (maybe sooner!).
