Yarn: Arial. Arial is a fine fingering weight yarn with two light, airy plies. It knits into a thin, soft and cohesive fabric that feels good on feet in both summer and winter. The yardage of this yarn makes knitting socks for large feet, intricate pattern stitching or knee-highs feasible with one 100 gram skein. Knit tight for socks, getting the correct gauge is key! Also a good bet for lacey scarves and shawls (it’s a decent substitution for lace weight).
And I have it on good authority that this yarn makes a wonderful crochet fabric and is an ideal choice for crochet socks (one skein is an ample amount even for large socks)!
Ravelry. This colorway is an ode to the patron saint of fiber artists, the online super-community: Ravelry! I used the colorways Jess picked for the framework of the site: sassy shades of pink and a green that makes you happy to be alive (and knitting) flanked by classic black. Twenty percent of the purchase price of each item in this colorway is donated to support the Ravelry site.
Skein Design: Soulmates. This pattern alternates between two colors. Where they meet they become their most intense and blend into a color more interesting then either alone. They fade the farther away they get from each other.
