Yarn: Duchess. Duchess is an all around great yarn. Its construction is four plies twisted into a nice smooth yarn. It has the bounce and elasticity making it very pleasant to work with. Duchess dyes beautifully providing vivid color with lots of detail throughout.
It makes awesome squishy, warm socks, super comfy hats and quick-knit baby garments. It takes color beautifully and knit fabrics show this off wonderfully! It’s the go-to yarn for many a Twisted junkie, er… fan! The Extra-Large skein option would be perfect for medium sized projects (scarves or other accessories). This alternate skein size also has the advantage of much longer stripes than the 100 gram skeins for a nicely composed look.
Ember. Snuggling up in front of a crackling fire is one of my favorite aspects of the crazy winters we have in Michigan. The flames’ dance mesmerize and inspires me. From that inspiration comes a colorway that I hope will make you feel warm and comfortable!
Skein Design: Soulmates. This pattern alternates between two colors. Where they meet they become their most intense and blend into a color more interesting then either alone. They fade the farther away they get from each other.
