Yarn: Kabam. Kabam! is a luscious yarn! The bamboo lends this yarn a lovely soft glow, not shiny, but joyfully luminous! The superwash merino dyes beautiful, rich colors which are diffused by the bamboo without losing much intensity. This yarn has little or no stretch, a wonderful silky drape and a sensuously soft hand.
Originally perceived as a sock yarn, it now has a following for lacey garments and baby gear (as well as socks)! Socks knit in plain stockinette are very attractive, but this yarn also shows off fancy stitches beautifully.
Cuddy. The TV show House has an excellent art and scene-setting team! I find the background very distracting. Creating a colorways homage allows me to focus on Cuddy (my fave character) smacking down the obnoxious House (DH's fave) he he. Who'd have thought a show which infused my family with hypochondria and glorifies snarkiness (and painkillers) could be so fun?
Skein Design: Soulmates. This pattern alternates between two colors. Where they meet they become their most intense and blend into a color more interesting then either alone. They fade the farther away they get from each other.
