Yarn: Shiny. Shiny is soft and smooth and… shiny! (In both the reflecting light way and the happy postitive exclamation from Firefly way!) This yarn is very well constructed with three neatly twisted plies that are the key to its glossy shine and lack of halo. The Tencel makes it quite tough with no give (you don’t want to try to snap this yarn with your bare hands) so garments knit from this yarn stay new looking for a long time even after lots of washing. Just say NO to pilling!
Shiny is a wonderful choice for lacey socks, lacey scarves and lacey shawls. Non-lacey items too, I suppose, I’m just partial to the lacey, shiny thing! It is not wooly so it is an excellent choice for summer knitting.
Batty. Mauvey purples are dominant in this colorway. They combine with grey and golden tan in a warm, cozy way. This is the colorway of the master bathroom that exists only in my dreams. Sample is knit in a different yarn and but shows how the yarn knits up and how the colors interact and move as you knit. Keep in mind that each skein is unique and will knit in its own beautiful way.
Skein Design: Organic Stripe. When knit this yarn will stripe organically, blending from one color to another without the abrupt changes and predictable repeats found on machine printed yarns. The stripes vary throughout so shaping will not interfere with the look of your knit garment.
