Duchess is a favorite among Twisted fans, with good reason; it is a remarkably versatile DK weight yarn. This 4-ply yarn is easily knit up at a tight gauge of 7-8 stitches per inch for socks or gloves, making thick, cushy items. But using larger needles or hooks, Duchess is transformed into a lovely yarn for garments like sweaters or cardigans. The superwash merino is easy to care for and is also very soft, making it a great option for next-to-the-skin items such as scarves or cowls. Duchess takes dye very well, and creates a beautiful fabric no matter what stitch pattern you use.
